Well Nerdfit is dead – okay not really, but for now you wouldn’t be able to read my one-of-a-kind updates and reviews of the new season. Normally I would take this as a sign from above to spare myself from the shittiness that is the new anime seasons, but that’s not fair to you. In the end that’s why I do this. I do it for you. Ahh a return to summer where the anime sucks more, but at least there’s less of them. Seriously though I often have a few series from sequels or manga or Shaft/Gainax that I at least can take solace in. I often even have something from the previous season so good that I could care less about the current one. That hope is dead – the only thing I really have is Fairy Tail and Hunter x Hunter – everything else is ended. And the only new thing that I want is Moyashimon 2.

Holy crap 40+ series (granted there’s a few that I don’t consider as a real series – looking at you Train Hero), but that’s quite a lot of anime. Now as the purveyor of animu, I’m accustomed to watching everything – the good, the bad, and the mediocre, but not this season. Between a new job, moving, and a backlog of video games I’m going to have to tighten the anime belt as it were. What does this mean for you the reader? It means expect harsher reviews than you had thought possible – gone are the days where I’d give something a meh pass – sit down kids, this is time for No Items, Fox Only, Final Destination.

I’m going into this season folks with almost no bearings. Few of these shows have a manga (and the ones that do are not stellar) the only sequels I’m familiar with are Amagami which was bleh, Natsume which is slow, and Tsukaima which GODDAMMIT WHY IS THIS STILL GOING ON OH WAIT IT’S BECAUSE THEY CAN’T END IT.
